125th Anniversary

Hinuera School is celebrating its 125th Anniversary on Friday 31st March and Saturday 1st April 2017. Past and present pupil’s, staff and community members are welcome to attend the events and enjoy the festivities we have planned.

Friday 31st March 2017

School Celebrations

Hinuera School will be holding events during the day that everyone is welcome to. These will include a special assembly and opportunities to visit classes. Join in and enjoy the atmosphere as the present pupils celebrate 125 years. Full timetable to be confirmed early 2017.

Wine and Cheese Evening

From 7pm come and enjoy an evening of catching up with old friends, make new friends and talk about the good old days! Registration for the night is $25 per person which includes a complementary drink and cheeses from our local cheese maker at Open Country Dairy Company. Beer, wine and cider will be available for purchase along with complementary non-alcoholic drinks.

Saturday 1st April

The Main Event

For those that would like to attend a Thanks Giving Service, this will be held at 11am. Lunch will be served from 12 noon and will consist of canapés, ham on the bone, salads and bread rolls. Wine, beer and cider will be available to purchase and complementary non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. This special occasion will then be marked with speeches, tree planting, photos, and then cutting of the cake for afternoon tea.

Hobbiton Movie Set Tour

Hobbiton Movie Set would like to invite you to come on an early morning tour on Sunday 2nd April at a discounted price of $63 per person.  Usually $79.  There are limited spaces available and will be a first in first serve basis. The Buses will leave Shires Rest around 8am.
